Family Garden with Romantic Planting

A ROMANTIC & FAMILY  GARDEN, HEREFORD
Description: This garden project, involved converting a family garden into a space that teenagers and parents could both enjoy. By redesigning the focus of the garden  it became a beautiful, harmonious space that caters for the whole family.  The huge lawn became two smaller grass areas, surrounded by lush romantic planting with separate areas for relaxation and socializing. We kept the existing shadier terrace and added a, sunny, brick-paved area for a swing seat. The deep boundary planting will mature to create more privacy.  The stylish new garden building ensured the teenagers got their own space to hang out in,  meaning everyone was happy!

Brief:  Garden building, elegant paving, swing seat area, separate garden rooms. Link garden to existing terrace.

Design elements: Blue/grey paving, timber and gravel paths.
A  45°/90° design was used to maximise the width of the garden. Paving: Large pavers set in gravel and gravel paths  link the terrace to the lawns.
New planting beds and timber arches help divide the garden and in time will form informal screens.
Planting: Roses, hydrangeas, asters, geraniums, Birch, amelanchier and cherry trees.
